The Hardest Job You’ll Ever Love!
Camp Ladore is a Christian camp operated by The Salvation Army. Our ministry is to children ages 7-16 from Pennsylvania and Delaware. Ladore provides a low cost opportunity for children who would otherwise not be able to attend summer camp. They can have an unforgettable week in a safe environment. Our goal is to have each camper see Christ’s love in action and to experience activities they cannot do where they live. Working at Camp Ladore will make a lasting impression on your life! You will laugh, cry, get tired, sing songs, tell stories, give hugs, develop life long friendships and make lasting impressions on campers’ life.
Each day is packed with exciting activities for the campers to enjoy. Activities vary from nature, arts & crafts, recreation, pioneering, ropes course, swimming and boating. These are high energy programs, often themed events, filled with songs, skits and lots of fun! The campers day starts with devotions and ends with devotions in their cabin groups. All staff are expected to set an example and actively participate in the planned activities.
Camp Ladore hires a summer staff of nearly 150 individuals from all over the US and the world. This provides a unique and diverse work experience for our staff and an exciting experience for our campers. Camp Ladore needs a staff that loves children and has a desire to share Christ’s love with others. Camp Ladore is located in Waymart, PA, on beautiful Lake Ladore. There is a lounge available for staff during their free time, internet access, swimming and boating. Ladore has a tradition of having staff return summer after summer because camp makes such an impact on their lives.
